Not being able to drive, I waited until after the weekend to see my G.P. But I gather in the leaflets, that after a couple of days or less, the sore throat would go away - but my throat got worse, to the point of being agony to swallow even some water and my jaw began to hurt. I noticed other patients had no trouble eating and drinking, just me.
However I awoke with a sore, husky throat and could not eat all of the lovely sandwiches. The following day, a pain free, easy colonoscopy was performed and all went well. After going to pre-admission recently the lady was very good and explained everything clearly and gave some informative reading material and made sure that all was understood in such a nice friendly manner.
